  • Team Format

Each entry must consist of two cosplayers competing as one team.

Both participants must appear in the submitted performance and, if selected, must be prepared to represent Singapore together at the GICOF Championship in Bucheon, South Korea. Each participant can only be represented in one competing team.

Any eligibility requirements relating to age, residency or nationality will be stated separately in the official registration information.

    Character and Costume Requirements

Competition costumes must portray recognised characters from an existing published work. Original characters and original costume designs are not eligible.

Costumes and performances must not contain:

    • Discriminatory content targeting race, gender, nationality, religion or other protected identities
    • Political endorsements or sensitive historical messaging
    • Excessive nudity or sexually explicit material
    • Dangerous props, weapons or actions that may cause injury
    • Realistic uniforms associated with the military, police, emergency services or other professions where they may cause confusion or legal concerns

All costumes, props and performance content remain subject to the Organiser’s approval.

    Costume Craftsmanship

Participants should demonstrate meaningful involvement in the creation, construction or adaptation of their costumes and props.

    Judges may consider:

    • Accuracy to the original character or source material
    • Overall quality and completeness
    • Construction and finishing techniques
    • Creative problem-solving
    • Effective use of costumes and props during the performance

Costumes and props will be assessed as part of the complete stage presentation. Any pre-judging or craftsmanship documentation requirements will be communicated separately by the Organiser.

    Stage Performance

Each team must present a prepared stage performance of no more than three minutes.

Performances may include acting, choreography, music, dialogue, storytelling and props, and both team members must contribute meaningfully to the presentation.

Teams are responsible for preparing and submitting their performance audio and visual materials according to the Organiser’s technical specifications and deadlines.

The local stage dimensions, screen format, rehearsal schedule and technical capabilities will be confirmed separately. International finals stage specifications may differ to the Singapore Qualifier.
